If you are planning to participate in the electricity balancing market and aim for maximum returns, keep in mind that the best results come from a combination of a high-quality battery and efficient management. ⚡

As technology continues to develop, it is likely that the technical parameters of the energy storage system will become increasingly important:

✔️ DoD (Depth of Discharge) – how much of the battery’s capacity can actually be used, for example, from 100 kWh, only around 90 kWh may be usable;

✔️ Number of guaranteed cycles – how many full charge-discharge cycles the manufacturer guarantees;

✔️ Definition of a guaranteed cycle – what is considered “one cycle,” as this can differ significantly between manufacturers;

✔️ Warranty period – the period during which the warranty obligations apply;

✔️ EOL (End of Life) – how much capacity remains at the end of the warranty period, for example, 70–80% of the original capacity;

✔️ RTE (Round Trip Efficiency) – how much energy is recovered after a full charge-discharge cycle.

Together, these parameters will determine how efficiently the battery performs in real market conditions over the long term.
